Informative, festive (and intoxicating) Gin masterclass

With Natalie Fryar you’ll discover the techniques and botanicals used in gin production and taste for yourself how these affect the flavour, aroma and quality of gin.

Natalie Fryar is a distilling guru with a palate and talent for finding unique botanical distillations sure to win hearts and minds. As a distiller of Abel Gin and The Splendid Gin, each batch is handcrafted and carefully nurtured using freshly harvested Tasmanian botanicals. Natalie will let you in on the secrets of how she finds her magical blends.

Paired with the jazz, funk and soul of Kelly Ottaway Trio.

Kelly Ottaway is an award-winning jazz musician. Playing piano, keyboard and vibraphone, he’s known extensively around the arts scene of lutruwita/Tasmania, for leading the jazz tentet The Modern Operative, and for his involvement in local projects like MONA FOMA, Dark Mofo, and A Festival Called PANAMA. Nationally, he’s involved with some of Australia’s leading bands as an arranger and composer for bands such as the Dan Barnett Big Band and the Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra.
