Spring Bay Mill, in conjunction with the Derwent Sailing Squadron Inc, Spring Bay Boat Club and SB20 Australia, is proud to host the 2020 Spring Bay Mill SB20 Australian Championship on the pristine waters of Spring Bay on Tasmania’s East Coast.  Races commences 1pm on 7 March and 10.30am on 8 and 9 March. All welcome at our Hello Sailor public BBQ and live music at Spring Bay Mill from 6pm (event details below). Event presentation at Spring Bay Boat Club on 9 March.

Australian SB20 Championship Race Day BBQ at Spring Bay Mill

Get a prime view of the race finish on Spring Bay and meet the competitors for a family BBQ on Sunday 8 March from 3pm. We are serving a selection of locally-sourced and seasonal food from 6pm plus snacks and drinks from 3pm. Live music with the delicious country, folk harmonies of The Ange Boxall Trio starting at 6pm.

Entry ticket is $15 (online) or $20 (at the door), price includes admission to the site and live music. Food and drink are purchased separately on the day and prices range from $6-$25.

Spectator Boat

A spectator boat is available for those not competing and wish to be close to the action. 20 lucky people only per day! First in, best splashed! Spring Bay Mill Catamaran leaves from Spring Bay Boat Club at 12.30pm, 7 March; 10am, 8 March; and 10am, 9 March. Costs $40 per person and delicious food and drink available to purchase.
